Eating Fast Food Affects Mood
Fast food is such a popular thing because it is cheap, quick, and easy. So many people eat fast food every day, and I was one of those people. For the majority of my life, I ate so much fast food. It was easy to eat fast food all the time. I never realized how much it could affect me until I stopped eating it. I have always had horrible depression and struggled with my mental health. I did not understand why I was feeling negative all the time.
I moved to LA and decided not to eat fast food anymore. Even though there were so many around and it was easy to get it, I forced myself not to eat it. I stopped eating it for 9 months, and I noticed so many different things happened. After 3 months of no fast food, my acne got better, and I have struggled with horrible acne my whole life. My mood changed from being unmotivated to wanting to do what I can to succeed in life. I had all these goals and plans I wanted to do, but if I wasn’t at work, all I wanted to do was sit in my bed and do nothing. Things were different once I cut fast food out. Things weren't perfect, but they were significantly better than they were.
I had energy and I wanted to do things. This blog, for instance, is something I have wanted to do for years, but I was never motivated to start it. It is more than just not eating fast food, which definitely plays a big part in it. What you put in your body affects every aspect of you and holds you back from your potential. The chemicals that are in our food cause our health to decline. Our gut is what talks to our brain and helps produce serotonin (The feel-good chemical) in our body, and when we feed our gut unhealthy, chemically processed food, it does not get the nutrients that we need. I am no expert, but I have felt the effects firsthand.
It is super hard changing the way you eat, especially if you are so used to eating a specific way and living a certain lifestyle, but if you continue to put food in your body that is not good for you, then it will continue to affect you negatively.
Believe in yourself, you are stronger than you think!
If I can do it, so can you!!
